Sang Youn from Cambodia’s Oddar Meanchey, whose young son was shot and burned by Thai soldiers after he trespassed into the disputed area while collecting forest products, said through an interpreter that he was angry with the Thai soldiers, but he wanted both countries to bring peace back to the border…

A recent meeting on 9 Sept in an attempt to address the impact of the closure of the border was obstructed and eventually cancelled by a group of people who called themselves patriots.

The brutality of Thai soldiers is breathtaking. That they are able to kill their own countrymen and women, purposefully aiming and pulling the trigger on unarmed and defenseless Thais, spattering their brains on the streets of Bangkok ought to make us less shocked at their brutal murder of people along the border… but no. It’s shocking.

That would be the neo-nazi PAD, no doubt. With Dr Tul Sitthisomwong egging them on I’d imagine. Clearly the people on both sides of the border have more in common with each other than the Thais do with the rabid nazis calling the shots in Bangkok
